An Evening in Kyoto's Floating World

Offering rare, private access to the elegant world of Kyoto's geisha teahouse culture.

An Unforgettable Encounter

For nearly three centuries, geisha have turned hospitality into an art form, creating the extraordinary culture of elegance and refined leisure known as the "floating world."

This world remains largely closed to outside visitors. But through deep and long-standing relationships within Kyoto's geisha community, Floating World Tours opens the door to this enchanting culture. As your personal host, historian, and interpreter, I'll help you appreciate the subtle customs, artistry, and human connections that make an evening in the floating world unlike any other cultural experience in Japan.
